Jose Mourinho Happy with Transfer Activity at Manchester United

Jose Mourinho says that he is reasonably content with the signings made by Manchester United, even though the club may have missed out on a few transfer targets.

Mourinho has been extremely active in the transfer market in order to make United title contenders once again. The club have backed the manager with the signings of Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, and Victor Lindelof amongst others. However, there have been players who have so far been out of the reach for the Red Devils. The most prominent transfer target has been Ivan Perisic, but United have been unable to come to terms with Inter Milan for the transfer of the 28-year-old.

United have spent more than £ 150 million on new players this summer. It has helped them make a strong start to the season with back-to-back 4-0 wins. Mourinho refused to rule out the possibility of seeing more signings before the end of the transfer market, but he says that his squad has been enriched compared to last season. Louis Van Gaal finding hard to get Support from Young Players

Louis Van Gaal is not understood to have too much of support from the younger section of the players at Manchester United

Most of the younger players have the opinion that the style of coaching offered by Van Gaal is not modern and also, he very rarely looks to communicate with them which makes them feel unrelated to him.

The favourite of the youngsters at the moment is the club’s former player Ryan Giggs as he is the one who often have conversations with them and support them to the fullest.

Giggs is in the Red Devils management team already, but, his role is only of an assistant which, many believe, is not the suitable role for him and he should have been promoted to the manager’s post by now after the team’s not so quick rise under Van Gaal.

The United youngsters also share the same view as they reckon there would be more of a chance of them playing first team Football if Giggs takes charge rather than anyone else.

They are not in support of Jose Mourinho replacing Van Gaal either as having talked to some of their counterparts in the Chelsea camp, they know that the Portuguese’s approach towards the youngsters would not be hugely different and they would be mere bench warmers in his rein too. Willian says that he will chose Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi

Chelsea winger Willian says that he will chose Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi over the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo anytime of the day.

He also says that his Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard has the potential to become a FIFA world Player of the Year recipient one day. The competition between Messi and Ronaldo for the tag of being the best player in the world has been going on for several years. Messi has come out in front more often than not, but Ronaldo has closed the gap in recent years. Willian has seen enough from Messi over the last decade to suggest that the Argentine is easily the best in the world.

Ronaldo will have to step up his game this season after having failed to win any major end of season on with Real Madrid last season. He has made a poor start, which is a major surprise by his usual standards since his move to the Spanish league, after failing to score in the opening two league games. He has been overshadowed by the likes of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in these matches. It is not known whether the arrival of Rafa Benitez as the new manager has brought about a change in the tactics of Madrid so that they rely less upon Ronaldo. Andres Iniesta has clearly stated that he is not going to part ways with Barcelona

Andres Iniesta has clearly stated that he is not going to part ways with Barcelona to feature in the Barclays Premier League.

There have been Barcelona players in the past who have turned to England, but, according to Iniesta, there is absolutely no chance of him following the footsteps of some of his former teammates.

In his talk to one of the popular Spanish dailies a few days ago, Iniesta, who is now also the skipper at Camp Nou, said, “The thought of going to EPL has never crossed my mind. As far as I am concerned, Barcelona is the best Football club in the world and I can’t be more happy and satisfied anywhere else.”

“I hope I go on and complete the contract that I have with Barca. That’s what I want.”

Actually since the time Pedro went to Chelsea, the rumours were hot that Iniesta might do something similar before this transfer window shuts down or maybe in the winter.

But, now with Iniesta clearing the air, those rumours would perhaps be put to rest.

Iniesta also talked about his feelings after being handed Barcelona captaincy on a full time basis. Continue reading “Andres Iniesta has clearly stated that he is not going to part ways with Barcelona”
