UNITED ON LOSING RUN FOR CHELSEA

Manchester United are on a two-game losing run ahead of the visit of Chelsea on the Premier League scene. Manchester United play hosts to West London club Chelsea hoping to avoid a third consecutive league game. The Red Devils were beaten 4-0 by arch rivals Liverpool in the first of the two successive league defeats as Manchester United on TV was a feature with Mohamed Salah (brace), Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz getting the goals for the home team. Ahead of the Chelsea game at the Theatre of Dreams on Thursday night, interim Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnicktold reporters during his pre-match presser on Wednesday thathe has 14 fit senior players for the game after Jadon Sancho and Harry Maguire were ruled out. Manchester United on TV would also be a feature for the Chelsea game with German tactician Rangnickinforming the press that some young players would be in his squad due to the injuries to several senior players.

From the last game at Arsenal at the weekend, Manchester United have lost both Maguire and Sancho to knee injury and tonsillitis respectively. Maguire didn’t play a single minute during the Arsenal game as he was left on the bench from start to finish, while Sancho was involved throughout the game.

Apart from Maguire and Sancho, the likes of Paul Pogba, Fred, EdinsonCavani and Luke Shaw will also miss the game, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a doubt for the game.
