UNITED END WINLESS RUN AT BRENTFORD

Manchester United have ended their winless run in the Premier League following the3-1 victory at the home of West London team Brentford who are one of the three newly promoted teams in the English top flight this season alongside Norwich City and Watford.

The Red Devils came into the Brentford game on the back of a two-game winless run. They had not won a game since beating Burnley 3-1 at home earlier this year. In the next league game after facing the Clarets, Manchester United deservedly lost 1-0 to Wolves at home thanks to the second half strike from veteran Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho. His goal in the last ten minutes gave Wolves a memorable win over the Red Devils. Manchester United on TV was a feature for the Wolves game.

Manchester United on TV was also a feature when they made it two winless league games at Aston Villa over the weekend. Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes scored twice with a goal coming in each half to establish a two-goal lead for his team only for them to collapse in the last thirteen (13) minutes. Villa pulled a goal back on 77 minutes through the impressive Jacob Ramsey before Villa substitute Philippe Coutinho completed the comeback four minutes later on the occasion of his debut following his loan move from Spanish team Barcelona until the end of the season.

Interim Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick was able to get the team back on the right track in the quest for a top-four finish thanks to the away win at the expense of the Bees. All the four goals from the Premier League encounter between hosts Brentford and Manchester United were scored in the second half. Manchester United on TV was a feature for the away game with the Bees.

Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood all scored for Manchester United, while Ivan Toney was on target with the lone goal for hosts Brentford.
