In the UK, Man UTDvs.Southampton Will Not Be Broadcast Live

Despite more than 70,000 United supporters expected to pack Old Trafford to watch their team face off against Erik ten Hag’s side, those hoping to catch the game from the comfort of their homes will be left disappointed. The absence of coverage comes just a few weeks after the last time a United game was not televised, which was their match against Leeds United.

All of their last eight games have been shown live across various broadcasters in the UK. It’s a shame for fans of both Manchester United and Southampton, as their upcoming game will kick off at Old Trafford at 2 pm GMT on Sunday, but will not be broadcast live on UK television.               UNITED HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM TEN HAG COULD SOLVE IN JANUARY

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag will undoubtedly be planning ahead for the January transfer window over the coming weeks as he looks to improve his squad in preparation for the Premier League run-in. The Red Devils have endured a mixed start to the campaign thus far, with a handful of strong performances having been cancelled out by an equal number of poor results.

United have fallen particularly short in terms of their attacking output in recent months, with Cristiano Ronaldo no longer a sure-fire starter and the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho having failed to perform on a consistent basis. They have only managed to score 18 goals from 199 shots in all competitions since the beginning of the season, which makes for an underwhelming conversion rate of just nine per cent. And his time at Camp Nou could now be coming to an end as the Blaugrana are desperately looking to offload him this summer.

Manchester United have shown serious interest in signing de Jong. However, de Jong has refused to consider a move to Old Trafford due to the lack of Champions League football. But, Barcelona are desperate to get the Netherlands international off their books as releasing his massive wages would allow them to register their new signings without difficulties by staying in compliance with the La Liga salary cap regulations. Hence, they are now willing to consider loaning the midfielder out to a different club. Continue reading “BARCELONA REPORTEDLY CONSIDER LOANING OUT MIDFIELDER DE JONG”
